Shepherd University offers metro rate for grad program this fall ISSUED: 11 May 2009 Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University is offering a new graduate studies metro rate for residents of select counties in Virginia and Maryland. The metro rate of $430 per credit hour, approved by Shepherd's Board of Governors in April, applies to Garrett, Allegany, and Washington counties in Maryland and Loudoun, Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Rockingham, Augusta, and Highland counties in Virginia. "The lower graduate studies tuition is a move by Shepherd to make a master's degree more affordable to residents of the Maryland and Virginia counties bordering our service area," said Dr. Russell Porter, dean of graduate studies and continuing education. Shepherd offers master's degree programs in teaching, curriculum and instruction, college student development and administration, music education, business administration, and a new health administration concentration within the M.B.A. For more information about Shepherd's master's programs or the metro rate, please visit the graduate studies Web site at www.shepherd.edu/graduate-studies/ or call 304-876-5313 or 800-344-5231, ext. 5313. -30-OWENS |
