Shepherd's Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players present the Merchant of Venice ISSUED: 26 October 2009 Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University's Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players will present William Shakespeare's dark comedy The Merchant of Venice on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, November 8 at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, November 11 and Thursday, November 12 at 8:45 p.m.; and Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. All performances will be held in Reynolds Hall. The Merchant of Venice is about love, hate, intolerance, revenge, justice, and mercy. It is a romance with a happy ending that may not, in fact, be very happy. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $2 for students.
