Shepherd to co-sponsor West Virginia Clinical and Organizational Ethics Conference September 11, 12

Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University's Division of Graduate Studies and Department of Nursing Education will be co-sponsoring the West Virginia Clinical and Organizational Ethics Conference: Finding Commonalities in Organizational and Clinical Ethics on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 in Erma Ora Byrd Hall.
Keynote speakers will include Dr. David Ozar from Loyola University, Dr. Jim Sabin from Harvard University, and Dr. Patricia Werhane from DePaul and University of Virginia. The primary objectives for the conference will be medical errors, ethical solutions, and patient outcomes; organizational ethics and population outcomes; and emerging ethics education and patient/population outcomes.
The fee for the conference is $194 for three CEUs/CNEs. Special rates for Shepherd faculty and students are $135 for three CEUs/CNEs, $60 without credit for faculty, and $40 without credit for students.
Co-sponsors include George Washington Institute of Living Ethics, West Virginia University Hospitals East, West Virginia University Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Eastern Division, Mountain State University, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, and American Public University System.
