Shepherdstown, WV--Warren J. Calderone, of Endwell, N.Y., has been named director of foundation, corporate, and government relations at Shepherd University.

As director, Calderone will assist the university and faculty members in seeking grants from corporate and government sources.

Calderone has served as a grants manager consultant at the Kirby Center for Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he also served as the director of development. He was the director of operations at United Medical Associates in Johnson City, N.Y.; senior development officer at Geisinger-Marworth, Waverly, Pa., administrative director of the Hitchcock Clinic, Dartmouth Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H.; policy/legislative analyst and presidential management intern at Health Care Financing Administration, Washington, D.C.; and administrator of adult foster care, Lutheran Social Services of Michigan in Detroit.

Calderone earned a bachelor of science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a master of public health degree from the University of Michigan.
