Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University will host the West Virginia Board of Treasury Investments live online auction of certificates of deposit (CDs) Wednesday, October 14, in the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies Auditorium from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Shepherd University President Dr. Suzanne Shipley will welcome and introduce West Virginia State Treasurer John Perdue.

Before the auction, there will be an information session from 9 to 10 a.m. The auction and information session are open to the public.

The CD auction is a program of the Board of Treasury Investments that serves to regularly place state funds with West Virginia banks. Banks bid for an opportunity to receive CD awards up to $5 million in value, with $20-25 million in CDs to be auctioned in Shepherdstown.
