Shepherd's Choral Concert slated for April 13

(Shepherd's Choral Concert slated for April 13)

Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Chamber Singers, Women's Camerata, and Men's Choir, under the direction of Dr. Erik Reid Jones, will present a spring choral concert on Sunday, April 13 at 7 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater.

The program will feature the a capella work "In the Beginning" by Aaron Copland with guest soloist mezzo-soprano Sara Anne Johnson. There will also be two original compositions by Jones, a spiritual for the Chamber Singers, and an arrangement of the Irish folk tune "I'll Tell My Ma" for percussive chorus for the Women's Camerata and Chamber Singers. The Men's Choir, conducted by Dr. Rob Northrup, will be performing American folk songs, including "Shenandoah" and arrangements of various jazz works.
