Shepherdstown, WV--The Scarborough Society of Shepherd University, along with the Shepherd University Foundation, will sponsor its annual spring bus tour on Wednesday, May 28. The bus will leave from the University's Scarborough Library at 10 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.

The first stop on the tour will be the Mountain Vineyard in Maurertown, Virginia, for a wine tasting and catered lunch against a backdrop of the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains. The tour will continue to Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown, Virginia, for a tour of the Belle Grove Manor House, a historical home built in 1797 for Major Isaac Hite and his wife Nelly, sister of President James Madison.

The Scarborough Society, a friends of the library organization, generates financial support for the continued operation and programs of the Ruth Scarborough Library on the Shepherd University campus.

This trip is open to the public and the cost of the tour, including wine tasting, lunch, and museum fee, is $75 per person. A firm commitment is required by May 1 due to limited seating. For more information or to reserve a space, contact Phyllis Smock at 304/264-0560.
