(Shepherd University announces faculty promotions)

Shepherdstown, WV--Six Shepherd University faculty members have received promotions.

Dr. Michael Austin has been promoted to professor of English; Dr. Jason Best has been promoted to professor of astronomy and astrophysics; Rick Bruner has been promoted to professor of art; Dr. James Lewin has been promoted to professor of English; Dr. Stephanie Slocum-Schaffer has been promoted to associate professor of political science; and Dr. James Tuttle has been promoted to associate professor of education.

Slocum-Schaffer and Tuttle were each granted tenure.
