Shepherd Faculty Research Forum to present on April 7

Shepherdstown, WV--Dr. Suzanne Shipley, Shepherd University president, and Susan Kemnitzer, deputy director of the Division of Engineering Education and Centers of the National Science Foundation, will join together to discuss ways to uncover added potential for externally-funded research at Shepherd.
Kemnitzer will describe the research and education opportunities offered by the National Science Foundation. The National Science Foundation was created more than 50 years ago and is the premier federal agency supporting basic research at the frontiers of discovery and science and engineering education at all levels. Strategic goals of the agency include discovery, learning, and research infrastructure.
Kemnitzer will field questions about ideas for proposals and discuss the procedures to apply. President Shipley will take questions and suggestions on how to further externally fund research at Shepherd.
