Shepherd Bookstore to host book signing April 12 ISSUED: 14 March 2008 Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Bookstore will host a book signing for 10 to 4 Brett Favre's Journey from Rotten Bayou to the Top of the NFL written by former Shepherd coach Mark McHale on Saturday, April 12 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Bookstore. McHale is a Shepherd alumnus and Winchester, Virginia, native. As a coach at the University of Southern Mississippi, he was responsible for recruiting a then-unknown Favre and signing him with the last available scholarship. At Shepherd, McHale was a three-year starter on the offensive line and after graduating in 1973, returned as an assistant coach of the Rams from 1975-79. The signing will be followed by Blue and Gold spring scrimmage game at 1 p.m. The game will be played on the new field turf. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and all proceeds go to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
