Shepherd sophomore receives Kiwanis scholarship ISSUED: 20 April 2007 Editor's Note: Click on the thumbnail below for a printable image. Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University sophomore Jessica Baczuk has been named the recipient of the Kiwanis Club of Charles Town Scholarship. She will receive $1,000 for the 2007-08 school year and was recently recognized for her award at a meeting of the Kiwanis Club. Baczuk, a graduate of Lewis County High School in Weston, is majoring in environmental science. "I have been very happy with my experience at Shepherd," she said. "I have found the environmental studies department to be very active and helpful. This scholarship will allow me to take a summer course at the Grand Canyon to learn more about geology and historic structures." The Kiwanis Club provides funds for annual scholarships at Shepherd University.
