Shepherdstown, WV--The Scarborough Society, a friends of the library organization supporting Shepherd University's Scarborough Library, will host its sixth annual gala, Friday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown.

The theme for this year's gala, "In the Garden," is inspired by the trilogy of the same name, written by best-selling author Nora Roberts. The invitation list includes Scarborough Society members, guests, and friends of the university. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Society's activities to benefit the library.

This year's presenting sponsors for the event are BB&T Wealth Management and Jefferson Security Bank. Committee members include Sara Lueck, Mary Jane Davis, Kathy Klein, Susanne Horner, Phyllis Smock, Jody Carter, Monica Lingenfelter, Cathy Nevy, Rhiannon Tavenner, and Sharon Henderson.
