Shepherd art students to hold exhibit Dec. 7 ISSUED: 27 November 2007 Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University senior art majors will hold Extended Images, an exhibition around the work they have created this semester on Friday, December 7 from 6-9 p.m. at the Heiston Square Regional Arts and Cultural Center. Directed by Stephanie Robbins, assistant professor of photography/computer imagery, the exhibition will display the work of her students as they consider the role of the viewer through various types of presentation. Extended Image explores ways in which the traditional forms of photography can be expanded to include video, sound, installation, and performance. The work is all individual but collectively breaks free of the standard white mat, black frame. This exhibition is the result of the combined effort of all the artists involved to create an exhibition that is both interactive and forward thinking. The newly renovated Heiston Square Regional Arts and Cultural Center is located at 401 W. Race St. in Martinsburg. This event is free and open to the public.
