Pictured from (l. to r.) are James Davis, Shepherd University Foundation president; David Dunlop, Shepherd University president; and Stephen Skinner, CATF president. Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Foundation has established an endowment with the Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF). The fund will support CATF programs and will be released as determined by the CATF board of directors. Stephen Skinner, CATF president, views the endowment as a means of generating operating support and encouraging additional gifts. "The establishment of an endowment demonstrates the maturity and growth of the CATF as an institution, while showing our commitment to Shepherd and the Foundation." Just finishing its 16th season, the Contemporary American Theater Festival was started as a nonprofit summer theater festival housed at Shepherd University and produced and directed by Ed Herendeen, professor and director of theater. The quality and reputation of the festival have grown steadily and the four-week season attracts audiences from across the country. For further information about the endowment or about creating an endowment fund, contact the Shepherd University Foundation at 304/876-5397. -30-HORST |
