Relay for Life
Although rain drove Shepherd's Relay For Life indoors twice this weekend, it did not dampen the spirits of the 665 Relay participants.
As of this morning, with money still coming in, Shepherd's Relay For Life has raised $64,895. Campus Relay coordinator Holly Morgan Frye has announced that the deadline for donations would be extended until the end of the academic year. If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, make your checks payable to the American Cancer Society and send them to Holly.
Holly said she was amazed at the energy and enthusiasm of Shepherd's students who never lost their momentum even as the event moved indoors twice during the 14-hour event which began Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. with the torch run through Shepherdstown onto Shepherd's campus.
Kudos to all those who participated in the Relay and thanks to those who cheered the participants on throughout the event or made donations. You have made the Shepherd campus community very proud of your accomplishment. This annual event showcases Shepherd at its very best!
