JAMES DAVIS '59 STEPS DOWN AS FOUNDATION PRESIDENT
Following eight years of exceptional leadership as the president of the Shepherd University Foundation, James M. Davis '59 can be proud of how far the Foundation has come during his time at the helm.

Carrying the torch that was lit by Dr. James Moler '30 more than 40 years ago, Jim put his mark on the Foundation's success in such areas as raising capital funds for both the library and the stadium renovations, increasing the number of scholarships and program awards funded by private gifts which now total more than $1 million annually, and increasing the total assets of the organization to more than $20 million.

During Jim's tenure, the work of the Foundation grew to the extent that an increase in staff and space was necessary. While Jim applied his entrepreneurial spirit to advance the Foundation, his wife Mary Jane Small Davis '60 served graciously and unselfishly as first lady.

Jim will serve as vice president of the Foundation and continue to make invaluable contributions to the Foundation's efforts to grow and prosper for the good of Shepherd and its students.
