Watch Your Rosters!

Your class roster is available to you in several formats:

--An electronically-delivered Preliminary Class Roster, e-mailed the Friday after the final Advisement/Registration session concludes
--An electronically-delivered Updated Class Roster, e-mailed after Add/Drop concludes and the Drop for Non-Payment takes place
--The official roster on RAIL, which is available 24/7 throughout the semester, and reflects up-to-the-minutes changes (adding by petition, withdrawal, etc.)

Early identification of students who are attending class without being on the roster is a great way to avoid (or at least minimize) the hassle of late or even post-semester petitions. Catching and correcting these registration errors early also serves the institution well in a number of ways:

--we gather tuition dollars earlier, rather than later, which become part of the funding structure of the institution;
--we capture their enrollments in good time for statewide census reporting and funding calculations;
--the workload for the course and any related contracts is calculated more accurately; and
--we minimize grade-shopping: the practice of "sitting in" on a course until I know I'll do well--and only THEN paying for the class.

Please call on our office if we can assist you in accessing and managing your rosters.
