Communicating With You

Recently, the Office of the Registrar staff took a one-day retreat to review our office communications with various groups we serve. Using the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) "Professional Development Guidelines for Registrars: A Self-Audit," we focused primarily on the forms we use to gather, update, and communicate student and academic data to the various groups we serve.

We will be making changes to a number of these forms, and will be calling on those of you who use them most often (including students) to give us feedback on any proposed changes: Is this form now easier to understand and fill out? Does it ask for the right information? Does an online or interactive version of the form work well?

We will also be looking to make as many forms as we can available online in an interactive, printable, signature-ready format, using Adobe Acrobat Professional (with advance thanks to Tim Haines for the training he has said he will be happy to provide). Some forms that do not necessarily require original signatures may be set up for e-mailing directly to our office for easier completion and processing.
