Open House/Visitation Update As the new Open House coordinator, I would like to personally thank everyone who assisted with the organization and execution of the Fall Open House series. The Office of Admissions would like to extend its appreciation to all who assisted in hosting a very successful Fall Open House! We welcomed more than 900 prospective students and families to our campus providing them with an informative experience and the opportunity to explore all that Shepherd University has to offer. The Open House series is a tremendous team effort and we are grateful for all of the time and energy put in by staff, faculty, and our current Student Ambassador Association. Thank you all for making Shepherd University such an excellent and accessible environment for higher education! In addition to our Open House series, the Office of Admissions anticipates coordinating private tours, classroom visits, and personal meetings with professors/constituents for approximately 6,000 students and family members over the course of the 2007-08 academic year. We are extremely excited to have been able to share the Shepherd experience with so many people. Once again, we extend our gratitude to all faculty and staff for your ongoing support and availability. As we look forward to spring, we are preparing for our Spring Open House series. Please mark your calendars for: As we move closer to these dates keep an eye out for more information and requests for participation. It has been a pleasure coordinating these efforts, and I look forward to working with everyone during the spring. In the meantime, keep up the great work! Shannon Zimmerman |
