Open House/Visitation Update

On behalf of the Office of Admissions, we would like to extend our appreciation to all who assisted us in hosting a very successful Spring Open House Series! We welcomed over 900 prospective students and families to our campus providing them with an informative experience and the opportunity to explore all that Shepherd University has to offer.

The Open House Series is a tremendous team effort and we are grateful for all of the time and energy put in by staff, faculty, and our current Student Ambassador Association. Thank you all for making Shepherd University such an excellent and accessible environment for higher education!

In addition to our Open House series the Office of Admissions has been able to coordinate private tours, classroom visits, and personal meetings with professors/constituents for over 4,000 students and family members over the course of the 2006-2007 academic year. We are extremely excited to have been able to share the Shepherd experience with so many people. Once again, we extend our gratitude to all faculty and staff for your ongoing support and availability.

As the weather turns warm we are beginning preparations and changes for our Fall Open House Series. Please mark your calendars for:

  • September 29, 2007 - 9 a.m.-Noon
  • October 20, 2007 - 9 a.m.-Noon
  • November 10, 2007 - 9 a.m.-Noon

As we move closer to these dates keep an eye out for more information and requests for participation. It has been a pleasure coordinating these efforts for the spring and I look forward to working with everyone again come fall. In the meantime have a wonderful summer and keep up the great work!
