Enrollment Management Electronic Newsletter

Greetings,

As Acting Vice President for Enrollment Management, I am pleased to continue to provide the Enrollment Management newsletter, now in our fourth edition, to the Shepherd campus.

Since the last edition, Enrollment Management presented its annual report to the Shepherd University Board of Governors at the March 8 Board meeting. Some of the data reported included:

Shepherd University's Spring 2007 head count enrollment is 3,600, up 1.56 percent from Spring 2006.

The FTE enrollment went up by 2.57 percent, to 3,156.

New undergraduate student enrollment augmented that growth with a 7.60 percent increase in head count and a 1.52 percent increase in FTE enrollment.

Residence hall occupancy improved 12.51 percent from Spring 2006.

It is an exciting and busy time of year in the Enrollment Management Division as we prepare for graduation, students register for classes, financial aid packages go out, and prospective students secure their spot as future Rams!

On a personal note, and on behalf of our division, I would like to thank everyone for their support and feedback as the semester draws to a close. It is because of your efforts that Shepherd continues to flourish and rank among the best in West Virginia!
