Student Success Transition Helena Cole, Coordinator for Student Success, recently left Shepherd after five years of effective leadership in student retention and success. Building upon these successes, we have an opportunity to move forward with continued efforts, with enrollment management, student affairs, and academic affairs partnering to expand the University's Student Success initiatives. Beginning January 7, Christana Johnson, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, will take over the programming aspects of student success. She will co-chair the Student Success Committee; develop communications to students, parents, and the University community that support success; and be responsible for presentations and training to campus constituencies, as needed. Enrollment management will be restructuring to include an information technology specialist/counselor to assist student affairs in building the communications work flow and assisting in data delivery. This support will enable student affairs to target specific populations with outreach and programming initiatives. Sara Maene, Director of Institutional Research, will be working closely with enrollment management to assist with the higher level analysis that may be required. We believe this budget neutral partnership will strengthen the institution's efforts to support our students. Dr. Diane Melby Kimberly Scranage Dr. Tom Segar |
