If a student who began attendance does not officially withdraw and fails to earn a grade in at least one course, he/she is considered to have unofficially withdrawn for financial aid purposes. He/she will owe a return of funds. An 'F' is considered earned; however, an 'F' is also considered in attempted hours for Satisfactory Academic Progress.
May graduates need to complete Exit Counseling if they have ever borrowed through any federal loan program throughout their collegiate career. This can be accomplished at www.nslds.ed.gov and should be completed before graduation to avoid a hold on transcripts. Exit Counseling ensures that borrowers are aware of their rights and responsibilities as they enter repayment. Students who have borrowed private loan(s) need to contact their lender(s) about repayment options.
