A second drop for non-payment will happen on September 11 at 2 pm for those students who registered late, or re-registered (after August 23) and still have not paid a minimum of 60 percent of their bill, after financial aid is applied.
The Business Office will be mailing invoices to students who have a remaining balance for the fall semester on September 14. The balance must be paid by October 1 to avoid a late fee or hold being placed on his/her account which will prohibit registration for the spring 2013 semester.
It is not too late for students to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2012-2013 at www.fafsa.gov to be considered for federal grants and loans.
Students awarded Federal Work Study as part of their financial aid package need to apply for employment at http://www.shepherd.edu/studentemployment by September 14. Students should select 'Student Job Postings' and follow the instructions provided to create and submit an application. If they need assistance, they should contact Marian Willauer, Student Employment Coordinator, in the Human Resources Office at 304-671-1906.
Financial aid recipients who withdraw on or before October 22, 2012, will owe a portion of their financial aid back to the federal and/or state programs. The institution will repay their debt for them so that they can enroll the next term; however, they will owe Shepherd University.
