Student Success Steering Committee The newly formed Student Success Committee continues to meet monthly to implement and adapt the Student Success Plan. This semester the committee worked on designing a series of focus groups and looked at how we currently track students who withdraw from or do not return to Shepherd. Subcommittees (motivation, prevention, detection, and intervention) explored areas relating to the possibility of a summer bridge program, ways to motivate students to want to succeed, and how to assure we are identifying the right at-risk students and intervening in the best possible way. One of the challenges the committee continues to address is how to best reach the students we have identified as being at-risk. |
