Happy New Year! It is the hope of the Enrollment Management Division that 2010 was a productive and rewarding year. Enrollment Management made several advances, most notably in technology.

  • Implemented centralized scheduling (EMS Campus) in conjunction with IT Services and Academic Affairs.

  • Employed the electronic catalog (Acalog) with assistance from Academic Affairs and the Office of University Communications (previously External Affairs).

  • Financial Aid

  • Enhanced financial aid education through the implementation of the online, 24-hour access program called "Financial Aid TV," with the financial support of Academic Affairs and technical support of the Office of University Communications.

  • Developed a financial aid literacy program utilizing Cash Course for prospective and current students.

  • Admissions

  • Improved graduate communications by implementing automated communication through Hobson's Connect. Admissions worked closely with the Graduate Council, Graduate Program Coordinators, and IT Services.

  • Retention

  • Impacted student success through the development of RETAIN, a retention module designed to identify, communicate, and improve retention. This has been realized with the help of IT Services and the Student Success Committee.

  • In 2011, we are renewing our commitment to you! We understand the challenges that you face as a higher education professional. To keep pace with institutional and industry changes, functional needs, and emerging technologies, Enrollment Management is committed to keeping you informed by providing information, analysis, and training that assist in you achieving success.

Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) is an institution-wide process that embraces virtually every aspect of our institution's function and culture. To help you thrive in 2011, we will be offering expert advice via newsletters, presentations, and analysis as requested throughout the year. I encourage you to take full advantage of these resources.

We hope that this publication will help you in your efforts toward realizing a successful 2011. We look forward to the opportunity to help you reach your goals.
