ADMISSIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE The Admissions Advisory Committee was launched in March 2006 by the Office of Enrollment Management. To foster academic input and better communication, Admissions philosophy and trends were presented at the initial meeting to members. Faculty members appointed in the spring to the committee by the chairs of each school were Dr. Elizabeth Miller (Education and Professional Studies), Kristen Kaineg (Arts and Humanities), Dr. Luiz Homem de Mello (Natural Sciences and Mathematics) and Dr. Mark Patton (Business and Social Sciences). Dr. Stephanie Slocum-Schaffer (Honors Program chair) and Dr. V.J. Brown (dean of the School of Business and Social Sciences) add additional faculty representation. To represent the Office of Enrollment Management, Dr. Marie Carter, (vice president for enrollment management), Kimberly Scranage (director of admissions), Randall Friend (associate director of admissions), Sandra Van Metre (associate director of admissions), Sandra Oerly-Bennett (director of financial aid) complete the committee membership. The purpose of the committee is to have advisory input regarding topics such as Open House agendas, publications, and, most importantly, integrated communication with the campus.
