Required Shepherd University coursework:

Botany/Zoology: Introductory class plus two to four upper division classes.

Chemistry: General chemistry and organic chemistry with labs.

Biochemistry: One year with labs.

Physics: One year with labs.

Mathematics: Statistics/epidemiology.

Psychology: Normal and abnormal, one to two classes.

Philosophy/Ethics: One to two classes.

General Studies: U.S. History, World History, etc.

English, Computer Literacy, Sociology: One year each.

Art or Music Appreciation: One semester.
