Dr. Suzanne Shipley
Dr. Suzanne Shipley has been president of Shepherd University since 2007. In that time, she has increased the school’s diversity and fostered an environment to fulfill her vision of the university becoming a cultural hub in the region. She says student involvement in cultures outside their own is critical to their professional success.

Chardonna Willis is a phenomenally hard-working student who has an eye and passion for design that’s constantly expanding everyday. She is known for setting goals and strives to accomplish them all. Chardonna was born and raised in Washington, D.C., with a single mother whom constantly encouraged her to never settle for less. Her mother instilled that if she wanted something then she must not wait for it to come but instead to go after it. Chardonna continues to work to be one of the top students in her class. Always having a desire to learn more has enabled her to open up her mind and she strives to shine through in her design.
