She earned her MA in Education from Western Michigan University and BS in Education from West Virginia State University. Cynthia’s mission to help students realize their goals through higher education has guided her tenure as an Upward Bound Director, Academic Advisor and Retention Associate Dean. She is a TRiO participant’s biggest supporter and advocate because of her dedication to student service.
Evora Baker

Evora Baker joined the TRiO/SSS staff as an integral member after earning her MA in Education from the University of Phoenix and BA from Macalester College. Her passion for helping students to succeed academically and personally is evident from her previous experiences working with Upward Bound at Century College and social services. Evora’s advice to all of her students is to “get all education that will allow you to go to work happy everyday”. In her spare time, Evora loves to write poetry and short stories, as well as spend time with her family.

Willow join the TRiO/SSS program in August 2012. She comes to us with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from American Military University and brings her marketing, non-profit, and fundraising experience. Willow is a resident of Charles Town, WV and is a mother of two boys, ages 12 and 9. She is excited to be a part of our TRiO/SSS team and looks forward to seeing the returning students and welcoming those new to the program!
Brian Henry

Brian started as the new TRiO/SSS graduate assistant in July 2012. He graduated from Shepherd University with his Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies and a French minor. Brian has returned to Shepherd in pursuit of his Master of Arts in College Student Development & Administration. He is an alumni of Alpha Phi Omega and as an undergrad, was involved in numerous programs and events at Shepherd.
