Students may transfer up to 72 college level credits from regionally accredited community colleges and all college level credits from four-year institutions; however, at least 30 credit hours of coursework must be completed at Shepherd University in order to earn a bachelor degree. Several weeks post-admission, transfer students who have submitted official transcripts will receive a degree evaluation illustrating how their credits were transferred and applied to their major.
Transfer Evaluation System
Students who are transferring from a partner community college can benefit from using our Transfer Evaluation System which shows equivalents of Shepherd courses at these other institutions. To access the articulation agreement tool, visit www.shepherd.edu/registrar/articulation-agreements/.
To ensure transfer courses are applicable towards a Shepherd degree, students are encouraged to consult with our Office of Admissions while still enrolled at their current institution. You can email email@example.com or call 304-876-5212.
