SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s theater program is presenting Steve Yockey’s “Very Still and Hard to See,” directed by Contemporary American Theater Festival general manager Joshua Midgett. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4; and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 9, 10, and 11, in the Marinoff Theater.

Admission is $10 for the general public; $5 for Shepherd faculty and staff; and free for Shepherd students with a valid Rambler ID. Tickets will be available at the theater one hour before the show.

In “Very Still and Hard to See,” Yockey stitches the real and the surreal, reminding us that the fuzzy line between good and evil can sometimes be a single choice. It is a fractured story of a cursed hotel that unearths worlds populated by the desperate, the unlucky, and the monstrous. This haunting short play cycle mixes comedic absurdity with raw heartbreak.
