SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Team River Runner is offering free kayak lessons to area veterans and their family members. The lessons will run Wednesday evenings, April 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wellness Center pool.
Two sessions will pre-qualify participants to take part in any of the basic class I and II river sessions hosted by Team River Runner-Shepherd throughout the summer. All safety equipment, including boats, paddles, life vests, and helmets are provided.
