SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University men’s and women’s soccer teams are hosting a father-daughter dinner and silent auction Saturday, March 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Storer Ballroom.
All community fathers and daughters, grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, and the like, of all ages, are welcome to celebrate their relationships and spend quality time around a nice dinner which will help raise money for both soccer teams.
“We are excited about the opportunity for our players to get together with other fathers and daughters from the community,” said Jonathan Thayil, head men’s and women’s soccer coach. “The women’s team plans to come with their fathers or other family members if they are available in the area and the men’s team will be helping with some of the activities as well as the silent auction.”
Dinner for two (daughter and father or other) is $40; each additional daughter is $15. The price includes buffet dinner, dancing, crafts for younger daughters, and a commemorative photo to be e-mailed after the event.
