Spring Auditions for the Shepherd Youth Chorus:
Wednesday, January 10, 2018, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
The Community Music program is pleased to announce another exciting season for the Shepherd Youth Chorus. The choir is under the direction of Dr. David Gonzol, Professor and Director of Music Education at Shepherd. The Community Youth Chorus membership is comprised of both male and female vocalists who are currently in grades 3-8.
The chorus rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:10-7:25 p.m. throughout the school year at the Frank Arts Center on the Shepherd University campus.
The tuition fee for the Community Youth Chorus is $125 per semester and includes two free family member admissions to each concert.
Financial Aid is available, thanks to a generous donation from Younis Orthodontics.
Dr. David Gonzol holds degrees from Messiah College and Temple University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park and earned Mastery Certificates in the Kodály and Orff Schulwerk methods from the University of St. Thomas. He taught music in public schools, colleges, universities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Minnesota, and Idaho.
Auditions for new members of the Shepherd Youth Chorus will take place on Wednesday, January 10 between 5:30pm-6:30pm. Please contact Sherry Sykes to arrange an audition/assessment time.
