The Student Government Association of Shepherd University works to establish a more effective and representative student government, to encourage interest and participation in responsible student government, to protect the rights of students, and to initiate, direct and promote students' activities designed to enhance the welfare of the entire student body.
Alana Gondeck is a senior from Frederick, Maryland majoring in music education and plays the bassoon and flute. While at Shepherd, Alana has held various leadership positions within the Student Government Association and Sigma Alpha Iota. She is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi, and the National Association for Music Education. Alana is excited for the opportunity to serve the student body and looks forward to meeting and talking to new students throughout the year.
John Isner is a rising senior from Parkersburg, West Virginia. John is a double major in political science and sociology. Along with Vice-President of the Student Government Association, he is also the Vice-President of both the Young Democrats and the Pre-law Society. John is also a member of the Shepherd Honors Program, Pi Sigma Alpha, and a Resident Assistance.
Meghana Vodela is a senior from Silver Spring Maryland, majoring in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medical. She also serves as the Senior Class President and works as a Resident Assistant in one of Shepherd’s traditional residence halls.
Logan Sigley is a rising junior majoring in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. Logan enjoys playing basketball, has two siblings and wants to work in a laboratory after college.
Sherie Washington is a native of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and a sophomore majoring in social work. Upon graduation she would like to become a medical social worker serving in a hospital setting. She is a member of Sistaz organization at Shepherd. She enjoys music and relaxing with friends.
