Make an Appointment

The Shepherd University Writing Center is located in Knutti 114. We have tutors available in a variety of subjects.

The Writing Center is a branch of the Academic Support Center. We offer a variety of services to help Shepherd students improve their writing skills and increase their grades on writing assignments.

Before signing up for an appointment, be aware of what we do. Our tutors are trained to:

- Review students' writing for clarity, structure, and correctness
- Help clarify commonly used documentation styles such as MLA, APA, and Turabian
- Assist in the comprehension and analysis of literary or historical works
- Give useful advice for students who struggle with writing and / or reading comprehension

To make an appointment, come to Knutti 114 and put your name on one of our tutor's schedules at least 24 hours prior to the tutoring session. Your tutor will meet you there at the appointed time. Should you need assistance, ask whomever is seated at the front desk.
