Homecoming
A long tradition at Shepherd University, Homecoming is usually held mid-October. A week filled with a variety of challenges, organizations compete against one another. The theme for 2009 is "Create the Future." It all begins on Monday, October 19th with a tough banner competition. On Tuesday. teams compete in a sports competition. A "Quiz Bowl" on Wednesday afternoon will bring in a local "Jeopardy" champion as moderator. As always, teams perform skits on Thursday evening. All of the challenges culminate on Saturday with a parade of floats through campus, the football game, and crowning of the Homecoming Court.
