Shepherd University’s Annual Day of Service will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012. We have a large group of first year students enrolled in the program who are ready to make a difference in our community. This year, the program has been expanded to include a new initiative called the Emerging Leaders in Service. This is an exciting time for our new students.
Kick-start your Shepherd experience by participating in the Emerging Leaders in Service program.
- Discover your strengths, leadership potential, and ability to make a difference in the world.
- Build relationships with other emerging leaders, current student leaders, and staff mentors.
- Experience leadership in action by participating in Shepherd's 13th annual Day of Service, volunteering with a team of first year students at a non-profit agency in the community.
- Challenge yourself through an Outdoor Adventure in Harpers Ferry, WV.
Cost $125 - This covers the cost of 8 meals, two t-shirts, a StrengthQuestTM assessment, leadership exploration workshops, and an outdoor adventure experience.
(Residential students will also be permitted to move onto campus early on August 20.)
