Date(s): Monday - Thursday
Hours expected: 3pm to 7pm
Number of Spots Available: 1
Description of Opportunity: Volunteer would run gallery, set up shows,
recruit artists, assist in teaching art (K-6). Needs to be comfortable working
with pastels, pencils and chalk.

Chesapeake & Ohio Canal – Canal Steward Program
Contact Information: Rebecca Jameson
Description of Opportunity: Volunteers will formally adopt a site and will be
presented with an adoption package that details their commitment and the tasks
they are responsible for completing at the designated site. It will also outline the
responsibilities the park will uphold in the agreement.
There are abundant adoption possibilities for volunteers interested in becoming
Canal Stewards.

Maintenance tasks will vary depending on site, but some common activities could include:
Mowing and pruning |
Painting |
Picnic Table and Sign Repair |
