Sigma Pi Epsilon is the fun and active chemistry fraternity at Shepherd University.  They are a student group affiliated with the American Chemical Society.  Here is a description of the group's purpose, as described by Kylie Morin, former president of the fraternity:

"We are a group of students that enjoy chemistry. We reach out to people who enjoy science, especially those in our major. We try to bring science/chemistry to the community as well as campus by judging science fairs, doing community service, tutoring, participating in campus events like Homecoming and Relay, etc. We also promote unity within our group by having special events just for fun and relaxation and banquet in the spring. This semester we are becoming close with BBB the biology club and playing capture the flask to enhance inter-organization relationships."

For more information about the club, please contact the President, Ms. Rebecca Furby.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Sept 26 – 30       Capture The Flask

Oct 10 – 22        Rush Week

Oct 22       Homecoming Parade

Oct 26       Popcorn Day
Below are photos from this year's Shep-O-Treat, in which Shepherd students, staff and faculty provided a fun, safe, and spoooky Halloween experience.  Sigma Pi Epsilon members creeped out the trick-or-treaters by teaching them how to make Gak from common household chemicals (check it out!).
