Information Guide

For students reporting Interpersonal Violence to Shepherd University Police Department (SUPD)

As a victim of interpersonal violence or stalking you may choose to file a report with SUPD who takes a victim-centered approach to handling reports of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. The officers of SUPD are also able to support the victim by coordinating readily, with the victim’s permission, with the Office of Student Conduct or other on campus resources such as SAVA (Sexual Assault Victim Advocates), Counseling or the Health Center.

Once a report is given to university police this report can also be used should the victim decide they want to pursue charges through the Office of Student Conduct and the victim will not be asked to retell the circumstances of the assault. However, some follow-up questions may be needed during an investigation.

SUPD Sara Cree Hall Room 105 or call 304-876-5374 (weekdays), 304-876-5202 (evenings/weekends)

Victims are also able to report to other local law enforcement if they prefer.
