 Day One - Schedule 

 

10:00 am to 12:30 pm Residence Hall Check-In:
Female students, pick up room assignment & keys in Shaw Hall.
Male students, pick up room assignment & keys in Thacher Hall.
You may arrive anytime between 10:00 am to 12:30 pm to pick up your room assignment. 
 
11:30 am to 12:45 pm CHECK-IN 
Student & Parent
Student Center Ram’s Den —
Receive your packets, name tags, registration forms, etc.
 
11:30 am to 11:45 pm Student Athletes - check in at the Erma Ora Byrd Building.
 
11:45 am to 12:45 pm

Student Athletes, All students who plan to participate in a varsity sport should attend this session regarding NCAA requirements along with one parent in the Erma Ora Byrd Building.

Veterans should meet with the Registrar in the Potomac Room (2nd floor Student Center)
TRiO students should meet with their counselor in the student support center, Library (1st floor)
 
12:45 pm to 12:55 pm STUDENTS: Please be seated in the Storer Ballroom, 3rd floor Student Center
PARENTS: Please be seated in the Ram’s Den, Student Center (follow parent schedule)
 
1:00 pm to 1:15 pm WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS for Students in the Storer Ballroom, 3rd floor
 
1:15 pm to 1:45pm

BRIEFING FOR STUDENTS in the Storer Ballroom, 3rd floor

[A&R Groups released from Storer Ballroom, 3rd floor 1:45 p.m.]
 
1:45 pm to 2:30 pm CAMPUS TOURS
 
2:00 pm to 2:50 pm REFRESHMENT BREAK for Students and Parents in the Student Center Ram’s Den
 
3:00 pm  to 5:30 pm

FIRST MEETING WITH FACULTY ADVISOR & A-TEAM LEADERS:
Meet your Faculty Advisor and the A-TEAM leaders in the Student Center Ram’s Den; A-TEAM leaders will be holding up signs with the number of the group to which you have been pre-assigned.  Your group number is indicated on the name tag

that you received at Check-In.  A-TEAM leaders will direct you to your meeting location. Only students may attend. Parents will follow parent schedule

 
 
5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Dinner in the Dining Hall with your Group   (Your name tag will serve as your meal ticket.)
 
7:00 pm to 7:30 pm Commuter 101 all students who will be commuters report to the Ram’s Den for          information on parking, special commuter resources and much more!
 
7:35 pm

MINI “LATE NIGHT IN THE ZONE” with Free Bowling and Billiards —Student Center.   A-TEAM LEADERS WILL BE PRESENT — BE SURE TO ASK QUESTIONS!

RESIDENCE HALL ACCESS ENDS Students must be checked into your assigned Hall  

(No re-entry)
 
 

Day Two - Schedule 


7:00 am to 8:15 am

Breakfast in the Dining Hall —be sure to bring your nametag as your meal ticket.

 

NOTE:  If you are not a student, breakfast may be purchased by those who do not have a name tag.

8:10 am

REGISTRATION CHECK-IN:  All students report to the Student Center Ram’s Den to pick up your

Registration Packet.  Bring along a pencil/pen.

 

8:30 am to 9:20 am

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES and RAIL INFORMATION — Storer Ballroom, Student Center

NOTE: ALL STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT AND ON TIME IN ORDER TO REGISTER

FOR FALL CLASSES.  You will be dismissed with your group and A-Team leader.

 

9:30 am

BUILDING A CLASS SCHEDULE WITH YOUR FACULTY ADVISORFollow Faculty Advisor and A-TEAM leader to assigned classroom for advisement. (Students only.  Concurrent parent sessions listed on your Parent Schedule)

 

11:45 am to 1:45 pm

Lunch in Dining Hall with your Advisement & Registration Group at assigned times.

 

11:00 am to 3:00 pm

Residence Hall Room CHECK-OUT:  Students may check out anytime during this period in the lobby

of Shaw or Thacher Hall.  Keys must be returned.  (Parents may check out their student if they return

student’s key.)

 

11:30 am to 3:00 pm

REGISTRATION PROCESS BEGINS

Assemble with your A & R Group in the Student Center Ram’s Den at the time designated by your Faculty Advisor.  You will begin the registration process there, stopping at each designated station with your group.  When you have completed the Registration process and completed an exit questionnaire, you may reunite with your family in the Ram’s Den.
