Attending an Open House is optional; however, reservations are required if you do plan to attend. Open Houses offer the opportunity for prospective students and families to visit Shepherd University, tour the campus, meet with faculty, discuss majors, and talk with current students. A separate reception will be held for students who have been formally accepted into Shepherd. Parents and families are encouraged to attend with their student. Reservations are required.
Advisement & Registration (A&R) is a required program for all new, transfer and readmitted students. During A&R, students will meet with a faculty advisor, register for classes, receive their Rambler Card, purchase parking permits if needed, meet upper class students, learn about programs and services offered by Shepherd, and acclimate themselves to the campus. Reservations are required.
Orientation, scheduled for January 9, 2015, is a required program for all new, transfer, and readmitted students. The program is different from Advisement & Registration and therefore is required for all new students. Whether you are a first year or transfer student, the Orientation will assist you in making a smooth transition to Shepherd University. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Reservations are not required as attendance is mandatory.
