My job is all about environmentally engineering cool learning opportunities. I am responsible for training and advising the Shepherd University Program Board (an amazing job!). It is teaching outside the classroom. Rachael lives in Shepherdstown with her wonderful husband and two gorgeous daughters. Some of her favorite things are old-time music, gardening, fried green tomatoes, and Battlestar Galatica (millenial version).

Jackie Henning

Jackie Henning

Graduate Assistant

Jackie Henning is a 2nd year Graduate Student at Shepherd University studying College Student Development and Administration. Hopefully, she will graduate in May 2010 and get one of those Masters Degree robes that look like something from Harry Potter. This is Jackie's 2nd year working as the Graduate Advisor for the Program Board. She loves working with student activies, the students on the board, and the students that come to the events! You will likely find her in the office with a cup of coffee attached to her hand.

Konrad Turnbull

Konrad Turnbull

Program Board Executive Director

Konrad Turnbull is a 3rd Year Mass Communication major and Womens study minor. This is also Konrad's 3rd year on Program Board and 2nd year as the executive director, which he's very excited about.

As a child Konrad was a child genius until his mother dropped him on his head... thus leaving him with a bizarre British accent.

Matt Richards

Matt Richards

Executive Leadership Team & Webmaster

Matt Richards is a second year, Mass Communication major. Matt is a professional webmaster & designer who operates: his own blog, this website, Shepherd's Intramurals website, and numerous other sites around the web.

In other news, Matt Richards is incredibly hairy, prone to taking off his shirt, is a member of Canada, and a firm supporter of the The American Society for Velociraptor Attack Prevention.

Devon Bouldin received her Associates in Fine Arts Specialization in 2007 and is currently finishing up her Bachelors in Graphic Design. She is an artist- in body, mind, and soul. She enjoys coloring outside of the lines and thinking outside of the box. She also lives for possibilities and craves constant change. Her life is one splendid piece of work.

Hans Mertens

Hans Mertens

Executive Leadership Team

Hans Mertens is an energetic young gentleman attending Shepherd from the Green Mountains of Vermont. His grade is a "wise fool". He is a member of Program Board for the first time this year, and his other activities on campus include Shepherd's own Honors' Program, MLT and the social fraternity of Phi Kappa Tau. His interests include cars (especially Hummers), basketball, video games and sharing a good laugh with others.

He initially became interested in Program Board because he had always loved "Programs" since his youth. In his later years, he has become increasingly interested in "Boards". Naturally, a "Program Board" seemed like a logical next step.

Sierra Harley

Sierra Harley

Executive Leadership Team

My name is Sierra Harley. No, I am not the mist, nor am I the mountain or the singer. I am not a part of the Harley Davidson leather community, but I have been on one before. I am, however, a junior at Shepherd University. My major is in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After grad school, I'd like to be a Marine Biologist.

Joel Heslop

Joel Heslop

Executive Leadership Team

Joel Heslop has always been a exuberant fellow. One that will go into a crowd and be ridiculous to get a few laughs. As a wee lad, Joel decided he wanted to change the world. Upon further realizing the magnanimous responsibility of this, he realized he would start out with something just a tad smaller than the world, such as Shepherd University. So, Joel decided to join the Program Board and try to make a positive impact on his campus.

On a lighter note, Joel enjoys Dinosaurs, Calvin and Hobbes, and Fun times.

Robert Crook

Robert Crook

Executive Leadership Team

Robert Crook is a Sophomore pursuing dual degrees, a Bachelors of Arts in History and a Bachelors of Science in Political Science, in the Pre-Law Program. This is his 2nd year with Program Board, after strong arming his way in after throwing a coup d'etat and asserting his control in his first year. Robert is also a brother and an officer of the Phi Iota chapter of the general social fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha and a Flight Officer in the United States Air Force Auxiliary.

Some skeptics claim Robert is the Chief of the Secret Forced Fun and Entertainment Police arm of the mysterious and secret organization known only as "The Program Board." While this has yet to be proved, it is well known that he loves sushi and has a weakness for short skirts and high heel boots. A firm supporter of The Emperor and Darth Vader, he continues to fight under the Imperial banner to restore peace and order to the Galaxy.

Nicole Taschner

Nicole Taschner

Executive Leadership Team

Nicole is a second year student majoring in Elementary Education. She is very involved on campus being active in Alpha Phi Omega, Habitat for Humanity, SGA, and Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. Nicole is a busy bee that is always buzzing around campus and rarely has time to sleep, but loves the busy lifestyle. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and loves to joke around. This is her first year on Program Board and hopes to provide everyone will crazy fun memories while at Shepherd.

Rob Baden

Rob Baden

Graduate Practicum Student

As a Shepherd Graduate Student, Rob has an extensive interest in programming and Student Activities to help him get ready for a future in Student Affairs. Because of this interest, the Program Board was a natural choice for a training environment, as well as the fact he had nothing else better to do. Shepherd has become his home for the last 2 years, and he often sleeps on the front steps of the Library. So, be sure to ask him about upcoming PB events; he'll be way too eager to tell you about it.
