Photography and Art Exhibit: Studio 105, 105 South Princess Street. "Banjo Women in West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky," a photography exhibit by Susan and Geoff Eacker, and quilts by Jane Hicks and Cari Norris. Opening is Sunday, September 26, 4:00-6:00 pm. Free and open to the public.

Public Reception: Meet Sharyn McCrumb! 6:30 pm. Entler Hotel, corner of German and Princess Steets.
Literary Showcase: Sharyn McCrumb will read from her ballad novels and will be accompanied by Appalachian writer and musician Betty Smith. After her address, Ms. McCrumb will answer the audience's questions. 8:00 pm, Reynolds Hall.
Book Signing: Immediately following the literary showcase, Ms. McCrumb will be available to sign books and speak to people individually. 9:30 pm, McMurran Hall.
Friday, October 1
Evening Concert: Hosted by John Lilly, editor of Goldenseal magazine, this concert will feature
- Sharyn McCrumb, reading from her ballad novels.
Betty Smith, singing traditional ballads and playing mountain dulcimer and psaltery.
Cari Norris, playing banjo and talking about her grandmother, Lily May Ledford, and the Coon Creek Girls.
Helvetia Dancers and Musicians, demonstrating the Swiss traditions of their small town in West Virginia.
Saturday, October 2

Glen Smith, playing West Virginia old-time fiddle, with David O'Dell on the banjo.
