Shepherd University Wind Symphony

The Shepherd University Wind Symphony will present an evening of wind band classics led by student conductors on Thursday, November 20th at 8:00 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater of Shepherd University. The concert will feature a wide range of works by Dello Joio, De Meij, Fillmore, Grundman, Haydn, Holst, Lo Presti, Schumann, and Whitacre, and will be directed by many of the aspiring conductors in the Shepherd Music Program.

Shepherd University's Department of Music has an astounding 100% placement rate for its music education majors, and programs such as this helps give invaluable experience to these future teachers. Student conductors for this performance include Maria Arrington, Kari Edge, Thad Garrett, Chris Garten, Kristen Hiser, John Karos, Andrew Nicolette and Ryan Yost.
