Music Composition Recital
The Shepherd University Music Department will present a concert featuring the work of student composers on Monday, April 26th at 3:15 p.m. in the M08 Recital Hall of the Frank Arts Center at Shepherd University. The performance is free and open to the public.
The recital will highlight a variety of works and works in progress by talented young composers in the Shepherd University Music Department. The program includes Tyler Arnold’s Prelude for Trumpet and Piano, with Nick Corasaniti on trumpet and Trevor Rowland on piano; Sean Kimiecik's Study for Solo Clarinet, played by Kaziah White; Chris Hume's Trimoteur for Trumpet in C, Trombone, and Tuba, performed by Nick Corasaniti on trumpet, Leonel Urrutia on trombone and Rudy Bzdyk on tuba; TV Bubbles for tape by Pedro Gonzalez-Fernandez; Essay No. 1 for Piano by A. Francis Sacco, performed by Joans Dawson; The Lyre Versus the Pipes by Kaziah White, performed by Ashley Reimnitz on flute, Matt Alt on guitar, and choristers Lawren Hill, Charlotte Morice, Lauren Frick, Naomi Lockley, Austin Showen, Paul Cabell, Matt Lincoln-Bugg, Scott Donaldson; Grandpa by Greg Woodward performed by Emily DeTroye on piano; and Pismo Beach by Thom Huenger.
