Upcoming Ram Band Events

The Ram Band is one of the highlights of Shepherd University. Known for its strong commitment to musical excellence and its exciting shows, the Ram Band is in great demand throughout the East as an exhibition band for competitions and TOB and USSBA performances. Each year, the band is seen by over 50,000 people as it plays extensively on the road. The band is not limited to music majors and is open to all college students.

The 2009 show, "If Love is a Crime" features the music from the film version of Chicago. Vocalists Lawren Hill, Courtney Bullock and Jaely Chamberlin are featured. The Ram Band can be seen at all home games and at many regional events.

The band is led on the field by Marie Crenwelge. The Band Staff includes Drill Writer Lee Geissler, Color Guard Instructors Janice Yanosko and Greg Starliper, Percussion instructor Jonathan Whitney, Marching Tech David Shipley, and Woodwind Instructor and Staff Arranger Frank Mahoney. The band is directed by Dr. Mark McCoy.
