
Cam Millar
Cam Millar has had a diverse and active career as a composer and trombonist both in the USA and his native Canada. At home in many musical genres, he has composed for chamber groups, film scores, modern dance, figure skating, jazz, and mutlti-media works, Commissioned works for modern dance has been heard at Dance Theatre Workshop (NY), Wave Hill (NY), Merce Cunningham Studios (NY), Mt. Holyoke College (MA), and The Yard (MA). Film music has been heard on PBS, and at Telluride Film Fest., Atlanta Film Fest., New York Women in Film Fest., and the San Francisco Native American Film Festival. Scores for US National Park Service films include the ‘Nez Perce Big Hole Monument’ and ‘John Day Fossil Beds’ in Oregon.
In 1998, Cam won a New York State Council on the Arts Commissioning Grant for "The Rodin Suite", a ballet for the Ice Theatre of New York. His M.Mus. is from SUNY Purchase College, and the B.Mus. is from Universtiy of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
